Thermador® Built-In Ovens
Product description
This recall involves Thermador® built-in double ovens with the following model numbers C272B, C302B, SEC272, SEC302, SECD272, and SECD302. The recalled ovens also have serial numbers between FD8403 and FD8701. Both the model number and the serial number can be found on the underside of the control panel.
Hazard identified
The oven may have gaps in the insulation where overheating can occur. When the oven is used in the self-cleaning mode, this can cause nearby cabinets to catch fire.
BSH Home Appliances Corporation has not received any reports of injuries or fires in Canada that have caused damage to surrounding cabinets.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these ovens.
Number sold
Approximately 550 units were sold at appliance and specialty stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from June 2004 and July 2007.
