Product description

This recall involves the following models of mineral kits:

  • 3120A
  • 3130B
  • 5120A
  • 5130B
  • 6120A
  • 6130B
  • 6121A
  • 6122A

The kits contain 24 or 48 minerals. The minerals are housed in individual plastic compartments. The box has a transparent plastic lid and measures approximately 33 x 31 cm (13 x 12 inches).

The kits are designed to be used as a learning tool. As a result, it is possible that the minerals may be handled by consumers.

Hazard identified

The recalled mineral kits contain chrysotile asbestos. The handling of asbestos mineral, can potentially produce asbestos dust. Diseases linked to asbestos are generally associated with frequent and prolonged exposure.
