What you should do

Consumers should discontinue use of the fan immediately, turn off power to the fan, and remove all fan blades, if possible. Emerson will provide five new flanges to each owner and retailer in possession of a recalled fan to replace the five original flanges on the fan, along with instructions for installation. Emerson will also provide assistance to consumers who are unable to install the replacement parts themselves.

For more information, consumers may contact Emerson immediately if they have one of the products toll-free at 1-866-994-8759 between 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, or visit the firm's website.

Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission’s website.
