Kohler engines used in Toro and Exmark mowers and compact utility loaders
Product description
This recall involves various Toro and Exmark mowers and compact utility loaders. The Toro ZRT mowers are red and black. The Toro Dingo compact utility loaders are red and black with the exception of model 22321G which is green. The Exmark Lazer ZRT and Pioneer Series mowers are red and gray and the Exmark Navigator mower is red and gray with a white hopper.
The model and serial numbers are found in the following locations:
- For the Toro ZRT and Exmark ZRT riding mowers, on a metal plate on the front of the mower below the seat,
- For the Toro Dingo compact utility loaders, on a metal plate on the front right,
- For the ExmarkNavigator riding mowers, on a metal plate below the hopper on the right hand side.

Hazard identified
The Kohler engine electrical system can fail and may cause a fire hazard.
The firms have received reports of 28 incidents with the recalled mowers and compact utility loaders. None of the incidents originated in Canada.
Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these recalled mowers and compact utility loaders.
Number sold
Approximately 343 recalled units were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled units were sold from 2009 to 2013 at authorized Toro and Exmark dealers across Canada.
Place of origin
Manufactured in the United States.

Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately and contact a Toro or Exmark dealer to have them replace the identified electrical components.
