Product description
This recall involves all aluminum Salsa Bearpaw forks sold separately and on complete Mukluk bicycles.

The date codes are stamped on the fork steerer followed by the model number. There is a Salsa compass graphic on the outside bend of the fork blades.
Consumers or the dealer will need to disassemble the front of the bicycle to access the steerer tube with the date code and model information.
Hazard identified
The front bicycle fork can bend or break, posing a fall hazard to the rider.
Neither Health Canada nor Salsa Cycles has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to failure of the bicycle forks in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 230 units were sold at bicycle stores nationwide in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold between September 1, 2013, and November 17, 2014.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Taiwan.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using bicycles equipped with the recalled Salsa Bearpaw forks. Consumers can contact the closest authorized Salsa Cycles dealer to arrange for a free inspection and a replacement fork, or a refund.
