Product description
This recall involves the Hammerhead sleds, which were sold in blue, green, orange and yellow. The front handle bars have a steering system with polycarbonate skis. The rear HDPE skis are attached to the main aluminum frame. The units measure approximately 58.4 centimetres (23 inches) wide by 22.9 centimetres (9 inches) high by 129.5 centimetres (51 inches) deep and weigh approximately 4.5 kilograms (10 pounds). "Hammerhead Pro" is written on the top of the sled.
Hazard identified
The front handle bar assembly can break, posing a fall hazard.
Neither Health Canada nor Kwik Tek, Inc. has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 173 units of the recalled sleds were sold in Canada at retail stores and online.
Time period sold
The recalled sleds were sold from June 2014 to June 2016.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled sleds and contact Kwik Tek for a free replacement front end.
