Product description
This recall involves Incognito Intimate Wipes sold in packs of 20 individually wrapped wipes. The UPC code for this product is 69207991023. The recall involves all batches currently being sold on the market.
Hazard identified
The recalled intimate wipes contain a combination of methylisothiazolinone and methylchloroisothiazolinone (MI/MCI) as a preservative at a concentration exceeding the current limit set out by Health Canada. The combination of MI/MCI is a strong sensitizer which may pose a significant risk of inducing allergic reactions and skin irritation.
Neither Fempro Consumer Products ULC nor Health Canada has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Since early 2014, approximately 62,676 boxes of 20 wipes have been sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled product was sold from July 15, 2010, to June 2016.
Place of origin
