Propane Fired Outdoor Gas Fire Pit manufactured by Wujiang Gaorui Garden Metalwork Go. Ltd.
This recall involves the Propane Fired Outdoor Gas Fire Pit manufactured by Wujiang Gaorui Garden Metalwork Go. Ltd. The fire pits have been sold with a cradle that supports a 20 lb propane cylinder on its side (horizontal position). The model numbers involved in the recall are WBT Series and WBRT Series.

When a propane cylinder is positioned on its side (horizontal position), a significant amount of propane may be released posing fire and explosion hazards, which may result in injuries and property damage.
Additionally, when a propane cylinder is positioned horizontally, propane in the liquid state may accumulate in the cylinder's shutoff valve assembly and in adjoining components. During the disconnection of the cylinder, this liquid propane can cause burns to exposed skin.
Health Canada has received one report of a consumer incident with injury related to the use of these products in Canada. Protégé Causal has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products in Canada.
Approximately 76 outdoor fire pits were sold in Ontario and an unknown number may have been sold elsewhere in Canada.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fire pits where the cradle supports a propane cylinder on its side. Consumers should not disconnect the propane cylinder themselves and contact the place of purchase for further instruction regarding scheduling for the item to be picked up, or for drop off instructions.
