Product description

This recall involves the Mastercraft 2-in-1 Nailer.  The product included in this recall is the dark blue design with yellow trigger and top.  The impacted product can be identified by the manufacturing date code located on the body of the tool.  Any products where the last four digits are 2011 or prior are included in the recall.

Hazard identified

The casting that attaches the exhaust port to the hand tool may break causing the exhaust port to detach, posing a risk of injury.

As of March 21, 2017, the company has received five reports of the exhaust port detaching in Canada, including one report resulting in minor injury.

Approximately 25,762 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled product was sold in Canada from 2009 to March 2011.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected Mastercraft 2-in-1 Nailer and return the product to their local Canadian Tire store for a refund.
