Product description
This recall involves 14 oz (approximately 414 ml) Teavana flip tumblers used for steeping tea. The recalled tumblers have a clear plastic cap with a black base that screw onto a steel tumbler. The tumblers were sold in black (Item/SKU 011069053) and silver (Item/SKU 011069064), and measure about 10 inches (25.4 centimetres) tall by 3 inches (7.6 centimetres) in diameter. "TEAVANA" is printed in white on the outside of the tumbler.
Hazard identified
The flip tumblers can leak, posing a burn hazard.
As of March 28, 2017, the company has received no reports of injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 12 reports of tumblers leaking, including one report of a burn injury.
Number sold
Approximately 1,564 units of the affected products were sold in Canada, and approximately 12,720 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled product was sold exclusively at Teavana stores and Teavana.com from October 2016 through February 2017.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled flip tumblers and contact Starbucks for a $45 store credit.

Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission’s website.
