Product description

This recall involves various carbide triggers used in guns and crossbows and can be identified by the model number and corresponding serial number or date code.  The serial number/date code can be found on the side of the Rem 700 triggers, and on the bottom of the AR15, Killer Instinct, Excalibur, Mission, and Parker triggers. Hazard identified

Certain carbide trigger rollers can crack. Subsequent extended use of the trigger may cause accelerated, unusual wear and the weapon may discharge without trigger activation, if the weapon’s safety is off.

As of July 5, 2017 the company has received no reports of injuries in Canada or the United States. The company has received 16 reports of broken carbide rollers, 1 incident involving weapon discharge without trigger activation.

Number sold

Approximately 1800 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 1900 were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected triggers were sold by TriggerTech from June 2015 to August 2016 in Canada and the United States.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Canada.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Carbide Triggers and contact TriggerTech for a free replacement trigger with a stainless-steel roller or a refund for a discontinued product.

Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website.
