Arc'teryx Procline Ski Mountaineering Boots

Product description

This recall involves certain models of Arc'teryx Procline ski mountaineering boots that do not have a coloured dot on the inside of the spoiler (the upper portion of the rear of the boot).  "Arc'teryx" is located on the front of the boot.

Hazard identified

The axis pin at the rear of the boot can dislodge and cause damage to the boot, posing a fall hazard to the user.

As of August 22, 2017, the company has received 18 reports of the pin being dislodged. Of the 18 reports of consumer incidents, three originated in Canada, four originated in the United States and 11 originated in other countries. There have been no reported injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 459 units of the affected products were sold in Canada, and approximately 3,900 units were distributed in the United States.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from April 2016 to March 2017.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Romania.

What you should do

Consumers should stop using these boots immediately and return them to an authorized Arc'teryx dealer.

Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
