Product description
This recall involves a 6' Black & Gold Tinsel Boa, with UPC 097138638786 and item number FB-BBKGT that was distributed by various retailers and events.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these feather boas do not meet the flammability requirements for textile products under Canadian law.
If exposed to a flame source, such as from candles, matches or lighters, the feathers on the boa could catch fire and possibly cause burns and injury to consumers.
The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits the manufacture, importation, advertisement or sale of a textile product that does not meet the requirements set out in the Textile Flammability Regulations and other applicable regulations under the Act.
As of September 28, 2017, Rhode Island Novelty received no reports of consumer incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and dispose of them. Consumers can contact Rhode Island Novelty for a refund.
