Product description

This recall involves the adapters for the UPPAbaby RumbleSeats that were manufactured between September 2014 and November 2016.  The adapters snap onto the stroller frame and are used to attach the RumbleSeat to the stroller converting a single stroller into a double in-line stroller.

The SKU number of the recalled product can be found on the white label at the bottom of the RumbleSeat.

Hazard identified

The RumbleSeat with the recalled adapters can become detached from the stroller frame presenting a fall hazard to the occupant.

As of September 18, 2017, UPPAbaby received 2 reports of consumer incidents in Canada.  Both reports included injuries to the occupant’s face. 1 report included damage to the occupant’s tooth.

Number sold

Approximately 3500 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The RumbleSeats with the recalled adaptors were sold between January 2015 and March 2017.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product.  Replacement adapters can be ordered on the UPPAbaby website.

Consumers can also contact UPPAbaby Customer Service by telephone at 1-844-823-3132 or by email between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm EST Monday to Friday and 9:00am – 3:00pm EST Saturday to Sunday.

Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
