Eames Molded Fiberglass Rockers
Product description
This recall involves two models of Eames Molded Fiberglass Rockers: Armchair Rocker Base (Model RFAR) and Armchair Rocker Base, Upholstered (Model RFAR.U). The model number is found on a label on the underside of the fiberglass seat of each rocker. The date of manufacture is also found on this label as a date code. The date codes subject to the recall are from 05-01-2013 through 09-08-2017.
Hazard identified
The rocker seat can separate from the base, posing a fall hazard.
As of October 12, 2017 the company has received no reports of incidents or injury in Canada. In total, the company has received nine reports of falls, and six reports of injury, including bumps and cuts.
Number sold
Approximately 190 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 1,600 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled chairs were sold between May 2013 and September 2017.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled rockers and contact Herman Miller to return the product free of cost for a full refund.
