Expansion of September 30, 2015 recall
The feather boas were previously recalled on October 17, 2014.
This expanded recall involves feather boas not included in the previous recall. The recall has been expanded to include the Hot Pink colour of feather boa displaying SKU 00175364.
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that the feather boas do not meet the requirements for textile flammability under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
If exposed to flame such as from candles, matches or lighters, the feather boas could catch fire and possibly cause burns to consumers.
As of October 23, 2017 the company has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these costumes.
Approximately 576 units of the hot pink boas and approximately 490 units of the other colours of boas were sold at Spirit Halloween stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled feather boas were sold from August 2012 to October 2017.
