Health Canada is advising Canadians that Sisu Inc. has voluntarily recalled numerous natural health products because the glass bottles that the products are packaged in may contain glass fragments, which may pose serious health risks if ingested or handled.

• Contact Sisu Customer Care at 1-800-663-4163, or email info@sisu.com if you have questions or concerns.
• Report adverse events to health products to Health Canada by calling toll-free at 1 866 234 2345, or by reporting online, by mail or by fax.
• Report complaints about health products to Health Canada by calling toll-free at 1 800 267 9675, or complete an online complaint form.

Background

Sisu Inc. has advised Health Canada that the packaging defect was caused by a manufacturing issue involving some of the 100cc glass bottles used in the packaging of certain Sisu products beginning in October 2015 through March 2016. 

According to the company, an issue in the bottle manufacturing process resulted in a small piece of glass being left attached to the bottom-inside surface of the bottle. Sisu identified the problem after receiving a customer complaint. To date, no injuries have been reported to the company or to Health Canada associated with this defect.
