This recall involves a zip-up hooded sweater model and a hooded sweatshirt model from Racine Carrée. The clothes bear the logo of the school where they are sold. The model number appears on the product label.

Hazard identified

Drawstrings on children's outerwear can become caught on playground equipment, fences, or other objects and result in strangulation or, in the case of a vehicle, the child being dragged.

As of November 14, 2019, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada related to the use of these products.

Approximately 1,041 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

The affected products were sold from 2008 to November 2019.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstring from the sweaters to eliminate the hazard.
