Product description
This recall involves girls fleece 2-piece pyjamas sold under the brand Nevada. The pyjamas are made of 100% polyester microfleece and are available in sizes 4 to 16.
The pyjamas can be identified by the style number 21560 and the marking CA 29504. The following model numbers are included in the recall: 41181 C, 41191 C, 63703 R and 63698 R. Only the top of the red pyjama set is affected by the recall.
Hazard identified
These products do not meet the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear under Canadian law.
Children’s sleepwear made of fabrics with a raised fibre surface can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child’s body.
Neither Health Canada nor 2781794 Canada Inc. has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this sleepwear.
Number sold
Approximately 3,052 units of the recalled pyjamas were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The pyjamas were sold from August 2012 to February 2013 exclusively at Sears.
