The Yankee Candle Luminous Candle consists of a square glass jar 4" x 4" x 5" high / 105mm x 105mm x 130mm high) filled with fragrant wax containing 3 wicks.

Hazard identified
Once the candle has been lit there is a risk of the glass jar cracking which may pose a laceration hazard.
As of November 28, 2016 the company has received 2 reports of cracking in the glass jar after the candle has been lit, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 16 reports of cracking in the glass jar after the candle has been lit, and no reports of injuries.
Number sold
Approximately 300 units of the affected products were distributed in Canada and approximately 31,000 were distributed in the United States.The Luminous candle was only sold in Canada at company-owned Yankee Candle retail locations in Ontario and online at www.yankeecandle.com.
Time period sold
The product was sold from September 21, 2016 to October 25, 2016 in Canada. In the United States the product was sold from September 21, 2016 to November 5, 2016.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Poland.

What you should do
Consumers should stop using the affected candles immediately. Consumers may contact Yankee Candle to arrange a full refund and one free candle of their choice.

Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website (US CPSC to provide link).
