Product description

This recall involves Martha Stewart Living Cardona and Grand Bank outdoor swivel chairs.

The chairs are made of aluminum and steel with a round swivel base and arm rests. The chairs were sold as part of patio sets with accompanying tables.

Hazard identified

The base of the chairs can break during normal use, posing a fall hazard to the user.

Casual Living Worldwide Inc. has received 34 reports of swivel chairs breaking in Canada, with no reported injuries. Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this product.

In the Unites Stated, Casual Living Worldwide Inc. has received 614 reports of the swivel chairs breaking, including 25 reports of injuries, primarily bruises and abrasions resulting from falls.

Number sold

Approximately 30,000 Units of the affected products were sold in Canada, exclusively at The Home Depot Canada and HomeDepot.ca.

Approximately 2 million units of affected products were sold in the United States under various model names and numbers.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold in Canada from 2011 through 2014. In the United States, the recalled products were sold from 2007 to 2014.

Consumers should immediately stop using the chairs and contact Casual Living Worldwide for a free repair kit.
