Product description

This recall involves the Diono Dreamliner Travel Bassinet.  The lightweight, portable bassinet came in grey (model 71001) or teal (model 71002), and can be folded to carry in a shoulder bag.  The bassinet has a steel frame, a mattress, and fabric sides with large mesh panels for ventilation, as well as an adjustable hood with integrated insect net.

Hazard identified

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these bassinets do not meet the Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations in Canada.

As of May 25th, 2017 the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 1853 units of the affected bassinets were sold in Canada at various retailers.

Time period sold

The recalled bassinets were sold from April 2016 to May 2017.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected bassinet and return it to DIONO for a full refund. The refund will include the bassinet price, tax, and shipping cost. Consumers can complete the return process through the DIONO website or contact DIONO toll free at 1-866-954-9786.

Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.

Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
