Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that the marabou trim on the Secret Wishes "Kissable Kitty" costume does not meet the requirements for textile flammability under Canadian law.

If exposed to flame such as from candles, matches or lighters, the marabou trim could catch fire and possibly cause burns to consumers.

The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits the manufacture, importation, advertisement or sale of a textile product that does not meet the requirements set out in the Textile Flammability Regulations and other applicable regulations under the Act.

As of October 11, 2017, the company has received no reports of consumer incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.
