Product description
This recall involves Metabo brand angle grinders with a brake. The tools have an extended rat tail handle and red band behind the gear housing. The tools are about 16 inches long, with a green motor housing and black rear handle. The affected products are CSA certified with certification file number 217282.

The model number, serial number and certification file number 217282 can be found on a specification label on the bottom of the tool, adjacent to the red brake band.
Hazard identified
Dust can enter the machine and cause the switch trigger to remain on, posing a laceration hazard.
As of November 11, 2017, the company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 66 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from April 2017 to October 2017.
