Product description

This voluntary recall involves two lots of KeraCare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo (Sulfate free). The affected products are in 3.79 liter white bottle and 237 milliliter golden bottle, with company’s logo on the front.

Hazard identified

The recalled product is contaminated with the bacteria Enterobacter cloacae. Enterobacter could pose a risk of infection to consumers, especially those with weakened immune systems.

As of January 12, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents or illnesses to Canadians related to the use of these products.

Number sold

Approximately 312 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled shampoo was sold from July 16, 2016 to January 5, 2017.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled shampoo and return the unused portion to the original place of purchase for a replacement or refund.
