Children's upper outerwear with drawstring in the hood and neck area
This recall involves children's outerwear with drawstring in the hood and neck area. These outdoor garments, made of 100% wool or a 50% wool/50% cotton blend, are made by artisans of the Equator and bear a label marked Trésart Caché. These outdoor garments were available in children's sizes 0 to 10 and were available in a range of colours and designs. Only some of the products are shown in the images.
Health Canada has determined that drawstrings on children's upper outerwear can become caught on playground equipment, fences, or other objects and result in strangulation, or in the case of a vehicle, the child being dragged.
As of April 25, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
An unknown number of the recalled products were sold in Canada.

The recalled products were sold from September 2008 to April 2018.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Ecuador.

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstring from the garment to eliminate the hazard.
