HydroStat 3000 controllers for Slant/Fin VSPH boilers
The product is a controller that is used with Slant Fin VSPH Series residential boilers. The name of the product is the HydroStat 3000. The date codes for the product are 03/29/2012 through 02/03/2018. The UPC number for the controller is 642277480002.
The controller may not shut down the boiler when it reaches the high temperature limit, potentially allowing it to overheat and posing a fire hazard.
As of October 18, 2018, the company has received no reports of boilers overheating in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received five reports of boilers overheating, and no reports of injuries.
Approximately 367 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 3876 were sold in the United States.
