Product description

This recall involves the Stairmaster® 8G Gauntlet Stepmill Machine. The machine consists of a revolving stair case and a backlit LCD console. Only the model numbers with the associated date codes are involved in this recall.

The following products are included in the recall:
Model Number Date Code
9-5250 From 1734 to 1823
9-5270 From 1813 to 1816

The model number is printed on the base of the unit. The date code can be found on the SKU and Serial Number Card located on the rear frame. The date code is in YYMM format (for example, 1734 means year 2017, week 34).

Hazard identified

The steps can accelerate rapidly without input from the user, posing a fall hazard.

As of October 9, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 206 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled machines were sold form October 2017 to June 2018.

Place of origin
