Expansion of December 12, 2017 recall

Affected products

Shermag Harrison convertible 4 in 1 crib.

Product description

This recall expansion expands the previous recall to include all lot numbers and colours of Shermag Harrison 4 in 1 cribs.

The recalled cribs can be identified by the following model name, model number and UPC:
Model Name Model Number UPC
Shermag Harrison 274348-02 773378730489

Hazard identified

The hardware on the cribs can become loose and detach, allowing the sides of the crib to widen, creating a hazardous gap in which infants and toddlers can become wedged or entrapped, posing risks of suffocation and strangulation. Hardware failures can also lead to the crib to collapse as sides may detach.

As of January 10, 2019 the company has received two reports of a gap appearing on a crib side in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

For more information on crib requirements in Canada, as well as the safe use of cribs, see Health Canada's Crib Safety Booklet. For more information on safe sleeping practices for infants, see Health Canada's Consumer Information - Safe  Sleep Practices for Infants.
