Product description

This recall involves the suspension strap used for a DOMYOS DST 100 cross trainer with model number 8360619. The compact and lightweight suspension strap is sold with a carrying bag.

The model number is written on the carabiner.

Hazard identified

The carabiner can break in some situations, posing a fall hazard.

As of March 27, 2019, the company has received no reported incidents or injuries in Canada. In Europe, 17 incidents of the product breaking have been reported, some resulting in minor injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 496 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from January 1, 2016 to December 24, 2018.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products. Consumers can repair the product themselves by watching the following video, exchange it at a Decathlon store for a compliant product or return it to a Decathlon store for a refund.
