DaVinci Bailey Bassinet model number #M0934
The DaVinci Bailey Bassinet is a wooden infant bassinet which measures approximately 37.9" x 20.1" x 30" and weighs approximately 21 lbs. The bassinet is made of New Zealand pine and MDF and is sold with an included 1" waterproof cradle pad. The bassinet converts to a toy storage box by removing the x-cross legs.
If the bassinet is moved across the floor with enough friction or shaken with significant pressure, the lateral forces may cause the wooden legs to break at or near the attachment point where the legs are screwed into the supporting cross beam. If a leg of the bassinet were to break with an occupant inside, the bassinet could present a fall hazard.
As of December 3rd 2019, the company has received zero reports of injuries in Canada or the United States. In the United States, the company has received 19 incidents where the bassinet’s legs broke.
Approximately 188 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and approximately 2,262 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from August 2018 to September 6, 2019.
Place of origin
