Product description

This recall involves the Mastercraft Maximum Flap Discs, 4-1/2 inch (approximately 11 centimetres), blue sanding disks used for grinding, sanding, and finishing most metals. The discs are available in different grits and sold individually or as a set. The discs are packaged with a black outer label. The production batch code can be found on the outer label beside the UPC barcode.

The discs may separate when used at a high rate of speed, posing a laceration hazard.

As of November 19, 2019 the company has received 2 reports of incidents in Canada of the disks breaking while in use resulting in laceration injuries.
