Product description

This recall involves the Yamaha EF2000iS portable generator. The recalled generator is blue in colour and has a small suitcase type housing with a top carry handle. The affected product can be identified by the model number, EF20iSX, and a serial number ranging from 7PB-0214343 through 7PB-0215853.

Hazard identified

The fuel tank material where the fuel petcock is installed may be brittle and can cause cracks in the tank, resulting in fuel leakage, posing a fire hazard.

As of December 9th, 2019, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 1500 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from July 2018 to October 2019.
