Grower's Edge Deluxe Vaporizers and Commercial Vaporizers
This recall involves the Grower's Edge Deluxe vaporizers and Commercial vaporizers sold by Hawthorne Hydroponics. Growers use vaporizers like these to spray vaporized materials onto plants in order to optimize plant growth. The vaporizers are typically suspended from a hook in order to distribute the materials on the plants.
The vaporizers can overheat, and the vaporized materials can pose a burn risk if spilled or potentially cause a fire if they fall onto a combustible surface. The Deluxe model also has a potential risk of electrical shock.
As of March 11, 2020, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 9 incident reports relating to the Deluxe vaporizer and 2 incident reports relating to the Commercial vaporizer, and no reports of injuries.
Approximately 339 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and approximately 60,847 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from January 2018 to January 2020 in Canada. In the United States the affected products were sold from August 2011 to January 2020.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the vaporizers and return them to the place of purchase for a refund equal to the retail price in the form of a store credit.
