Product description

This recall involves the Line 6 Digital Wireless Relay with the following identification numbers:

The serial number is located on both the transmitter and the receiver.

Hazard identified

For the wireless relay, the lithium-ion battery can overheat posing a potential risk of property damage and personal injury. For the USB cable, the cable may apply too much current to the transmitter causing the relay battery to overheat, posing a fire hazard.

As of March 10, 2020, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 4 reports of incidents and 0 reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 4,715 units of the affected products were sold in Canada. Approximately 67,730 units of the affected products were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from January 2016 to December 2019.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected relays and update them using the latest firmware. Consumers with the G10T USB Cable should contact Yamaha Guitar Group for a refund.
