Product description

This voluntary recall involves CKX Titan and Mission helmets for recreational sport motor vehicles. The affected products can be identified by the name Titan or Mission appearing on a sticker on the outside of the helmet, or on the interior label of the helmet. The helmets were available in sizes XS to 3XL.

Hazard identified

While adjusting the long chin curtain, consumers can unknowingly detach the neck strap if the rapid-release tab becomes stuck. The helmets can then fail to fasten properly, resulting in an injury hazard in the event of an accident.

As of May 7th, 2020, the company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to this hazard in Canada.

Approximately 58,576 Titan and Mission helmets were sold in Canada.

The affected products were sold from May 2016 to March 2020.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled helmets and contact the retailer from which they purchased the product or Kimpex for a free repair.
