Product description

This recall involves two Junction drawer chest products. The drawer chests are made of wood and have a brown wood patterned finish.

In some cases, there will be identifying numbers on the back of the unit to report to customer service.

Hazard identified

The recalled drawer chests are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that may result in death or injuries to children.

As of January 21, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada, and a report of 1 incident in the United States.

Number sold

Approximately 354 units of the affected product were sold in Canada, and 10,688 were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from December 2012 to July 2019.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact CB2 for instructions to dispose of the product and obtain a full refund or store credit. CB2 will also be reaching out to customers and will have Customer Service agents available to answer questions and arrange a pick-up of the units and issue a refund or store credit.

For more information, consumers may contact CB2 toll free at 1-800-451-8217 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT and a customer service representative will be able to answer questions about the recall. Note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
