- Issue: The black plastic caps covering the receptacles can come off when unplugging a cord from the unit, exposing the internal components and posing a risk of electric shock to the consumer.

Mastercraft 8-Outlet Metal Power Bar
This recall involves Mastercraft 8-Outlet Metal Power Bar, 4 foot (1.2 metres). The affected Canadian Tire product number is 052-9632.
This recall includes all units manufactured prior to and including October 2020.
The affected power bars will either have a 4-digit or a 6-digit Manufacturing Date Code. For the 4-digit date code, the first two digits are the month, the last two digits are the year. For the 6-digit date codes, the first two digits are the month, the last four digits are the year. The date codes can be found on the packaging near the barcode and on the back of the unit. See images for examples of where to find the date code.
The black plastic caps covering the receptacles can come off when unplugging a cord from the unit, exposing the internal components and posing a risk of electric shock to the consumer.
As of April 6, 2021, the company has received one report of the plastic receptacle caps becoming dislodged in Canada, and no reports of injury.
The company reported that 8197 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

The affected products were sold from December 2019 to December 2020.
