Product description

The recall involves a stainless steel kettle with a brushed gold finish that was included in the winter CAUSEBOX subscription box along with five other items.

The kettle measures approximately 5.5 inches in diameter, and 8 inches from the bottom of the kettle to the top of the handle. "Rose & Fitzgerald" is written on the bottom of the kettle.

The Product was sold online at www.causebox.com in certain subscription boxes that were distributed between January and April 2021 (the "Winter Box"), and was also sold separately online at www.roseandfitzgerald.com.

Hazard identified

The kettle can expel hot water and/or excessive steam during use, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

As of May 18, 2021 the company has identified 33 reports of expelled hot water or steam in Canada, including 6 reports of minor burns. In the United States, the company has identified 121 reports of incidents, including 18 reports of minor burns.

Number sold

The company reported that 12,865 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 56,027 units in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected Products were sold between January and April 2021.

Place of origin

Manufactured in India.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected kettle and contact the Company for an account credit, or a refund in certain cases.
