This recall involves the Certified 10a 2-in-1 Electric mower, 14" and Certified 12a 2-in-1 electric mower, 17".

Hazard identified

The motor may overheat, posing a fire hazard.

As of June 15, 2021, the company has received 8 reports (6 of model 060-0739 and 2 of model 060-0740) of incidents relating to units overheating and resulting in (or leading to potential of) the unit catching fire, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

The company reported that 71,000 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from January, 2019 to June, 2021.
