Various Hallmark softwood round teethers with attachments

Product description

This recall involves seven different styles of Hallmark round teethers made of softwood and with a variety of attachments including with attached decorative fabric or plush rattles in the shape of animal heads. Affected products were manufactured between 2015 and 2020 and are marked on the sewn-in white labels with date codes of JUL15, 1117, 0618, 0719, and 1020. The following SKU codes are also identified on the sewn-in white labels:

Hazard identified

The wooden ring can break into small parts, posing a choking hazard.

As of July 29, 2021, the company has received 2 reports of the teether breaking into pieces in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 2 reports of the teether breaking into pieces and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

The company reported that approximately 1,228 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and approximately 15,500 were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from about January 2018 to January 2021.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Hallmark’s customer care to be provided with a full reimbursement.
